Trained in paediatrics, paediatric intensive care, and neonatology, he worked over 30 years as senior neonatologist at University Hospital Zurich and now serves as a senior research fellow.
His research focuses on neuroprotection in preterm infants and ethical decision-making in the NICU. He is deeply involved in teaching medical professionals and advancing neonatal care in Cambodia through hospital development and nationwide newborn care programs.
